Hi! I’m Brendan Cooper, the founder of The Rhythm Room.

My journey with percussion began over 20 years ago in a house full of musicians, and I slotted into the drumming role. I have since played in a number of bands and taught drums in various settings.

I created The Rhythm Room as an entryway into the world of rhythm and percussion. I truly believe a child’s first experiences with music matter—when it’s positive, playful, and encouraging, it can shape a lifelong love of music.

Through working in childcare settings, I’ve developed a passion for seeing children engage in fun, play-based activities that build confidence and spark curiosity. For your peace of mind, I also hold a current QLD Blue Card.

I’m also a parent to two little groovers of my own (you’ll probably spot them at sessions!), and we’re definitely starting rhythm early—just like I did.
